If you reside in McKinleyville, this airport is very close by, easy in and out. Downside is of course small aircraft only and not a lot of flexibility of flights.

It was a spectacular day, The temperature was perfect, the clouds were gorgeous amongst blue sky's and mountain tops. And at a distance I saw a beautiful rainbow 🌈. WHAT?Did this mean, it's actually raining further south? Yuppers... Awesome. Bring it on Heavenly Skyz, our lands, springs, creeks, streams and rivers DESPERATELY NEEDS some AGUA.

Note to out of towners. We flew in from Denver, you can ride a bus from this Airport to the Enterprise location in Eureka, $3.50 for each adult, kids free. Rent your car off airport to save over $1000. Took a little while but no Uber or Lyfts were available. Town is very small

Great airport with multiple airlines, variety of amenities and great artwork to see, and information about cool area sights to see, including trails and parks. Great coffee shop when open. Checkout the observation area upstairs, very cool! Even a free library !

Very cute little airport. The employees clearly have multiple positions and they do a great job at handling them. We had no issue with this airport as far as friendly staff, cleanliness, and ease of understanding the layout and process goes! The reason for 4 stars is that this airport has no food or drink options besides a couple vending machines, and there is not really anything in walking distance. Our flight was delayed 4 hours and we had already dropped our rental car keys in the box! We were hungry and would have loved some coffee or something but this airport is so small it just doesn’t have anything. I think it would be a great idea to try and have a couple options for people who get flight delays! Otherwise, the airport is great!

The most amazing experience was that when we arrived, we left a laptop in the baggage area (we think it was on or under a seat). We retraced our steps back in the baggage claim area and called the airline Lost and Found with no success. The next day we went back again and, voila!, the laptop had been discovered by a security guard and returned. This would have never happened in LA!

Only place to fly out and in from Humboldt as I know of commercially. Nobody ever pays attention to the signs saying "no waiting," but everyone waits by the sign and receives no consequences, which is kind of hilarious. 5 stars because signs are clearly a suggestion, and everyone there is really, really nice.

This is a great little airport. The only problem is the airlines keep dropping flights or abandoning the area altogether. When there are flights the airport is a delight, small efficient and has plenty of easy access parking.

Everyone is usually very nice. Today we had a small issue at the United counter. We arrived about 70 minutes before our flight. We had checked in at the kiosk and had one bag to check. The label/tag was printed behind the counter. We waited in line behind four other travelers, with one agent at the counter. One woman was checking in at the counter for 15 minutes. Then the next traveler took approximately 10 minutes. When she finally got to me almost 30 minutes had passed. The agent then reprimanded me for not checking my bag in 45 minutes before my flight. I told her that I had checked in more than an hour before, but had to wait to give her my bag. She said, "Ok, I'll let it go this time, but make sure to get here 45 minutes early next time." Geez, it's not like it's a huge airport. There wasn't even another plane out there. Not to mention, I was there early.

For such a small airport with an even smaller staff on hand, still manages to get flights out on schedule most of the time (barring some serious weather). Clean building, friendly staff, efficient. Solid.

Great little airport. So happy another airline has come in to compete with United. I’ve always had easy and comfortable communication with staff. They are willing to go the extra mile (pun intended) if you show the much due real they all deserve.

I live in Colorado. The Denver International Airport is significantly larger than the Humbolt Airport. Size aside, it is still nice. I don't know much about that particular part of California (Humboldt County). It was quiet and easy to be there without getting stressed or having to worry too much about time.

Absolutely beautiful!! Highly recommend. Lots of state parks & coastal access points to check out. Buy a day pass to 1 state park and get into the rest for free (for same day visit)

Flew in on a small general aviation aircraft. Runways are in a good condition and GA parking well marked. There is no FBO on the field, but self serve fuel is available. Rest of the facilities are in the terminal building which is accessed via a gate nearby with a return gate code. Overnight fee is $15. The terminal building is fairly modern with all the expected facilities. The surrounding area is spectacular for aerial views, but plan for the marine layer during the morning.

I have been flying in and out of this airport for a little over ten years with zero complaints.

Baggage claim is as easy and pain-free as can be and security takes all of 5 minutes.

From car to gate takes about 10 minutes without checking bags.

Rental cars are plentiful through National/Enterprise and Avis also opened a new location on site.

Weather can be a cause of delays and cancelations during the foggier times of the year but there is word of upgrading to a ILS CAT III so hopefully those issues will be drastically reduced.

Hope to see the day they add a tower

Great little airport, fantastic service. Love the Little Free Library. Reminds me of flying in to Ontario, CA in the 70s and Montrose, CO in the late 90s.
