Great airport. Small enough to get around fast. Rental cars on property within 5 min in and out. Highly recommend vs the unfriendly bigger airports like New Orleans. Fly here if you can.

Love our airport! So close—easy in and out. It’s a dream. Cost isn’t that much more when you factor in parking at MSY. The only reason we go to MSY now is if we can’t get a direct flight from BTR.

It's a small airport and thus very easy to navigate. The staff is friendly, and most importantly, there is quick and easy access to the smoking area for those of us who must have our nicotine fix.

When I arrived to the main car rental counter at the airport, next to the baggage claim, around the end of 2018, I spoke with a customer service representative from Budget Rent-a-Car who was helpful, but there was a customer service representative that I overheard from a car-rental agency that was next to Budget, I believe it may have been Enterprise, that seemed to be harassing a lady. The customer service representative said the following: "At this point all I want to know is if you are going to go to church." There was some time in between two statements. "You know, I hear that people returning from Afghanistan with PTSD find meditation to be very useful." The lady then exclaimed, "Take me out of this place!" and proceeded to pace back and forth in front of the counter once or twice. There were periods where they seemed to be waiting for a response. I'm unsure what they were waiting for. I was at the time concentrating on resolving the issue of the automobile I had rented that purportedly had a one way fee I wasn’t previously told about. The Budget Rent-a-Car attendant was helpful as she waived that type of fee I had never been charged before. Yet, I feel somewhat guilty I didn’t step in to help the nearby lady. I believe that type of harassment, if that’s what it was, shouldn’t happen, particularly at the airport.

That was at the car rental counter. However, I have a perception that the actual airport staff may frequently be very professional in their interactions with the public.

It's a relatively small airport and several of the screens and such didn't seem to work plus for my flight they didn't have speakers to communicate with you so you had to be close to the boarding to hear the guy call your area. It was clean though and the staff is pleasant.

Very clean space. If you want to find an outlet to charge that works you’ll need to find where something is maybe plugged in like an atm or if you use the ones by the airline for luggage. Didn’t try the food. Very safe environment. Never had to question if I went to the bathroom or outside would my belongings get touched. This airport I would consider an attraction as well. Things like the display of records or the welcome to Baton Rouge sign definitely caught my attention. Only one staff member was a little rude but when I addressed it, problem solved. Totally recommend!

One of the best airports I've ever used. Showed up 1 hour before flight leaves, 20 min before boarding, and I was EARLY. Not one single person in the security line, walked straight to my terminal & made it after checking a bag & going thru security a mere 10 minutes after arriving to the airport! This place is great, worth the extra money versus flying from MSY

🛫I absolutely love coming to the BR airport. My biggest fear throughout my whole life was falling from a very high spot.. / flying in an airplane and crashing/falling. BUT I recently met someone who has become a very good friend of mine. He happens to be a PILOT 🧑🏻‍✈️! ... Not only that but he also owns his own plane! 🛩️. So thankfully I got to experience my first plane ride with someone I trust, and is a good friend. It helped with the scary fears and "all of the unknown of flying". Within idk...20 minutes about..I was having the time of my life. Now I want to fly on a daily basis! 🤣. And definitely would if it were possible..

Kinda got off subject with the airport and onto my experience. 😂

I've only seen a few airports.. so comparing them all to BTR...baton rouge is definitely the nicest and biggest! 🛬

Small airport so not a lot of food options. Does have a good general retail store for snacks, Bev and local gifts. I like that they have incorporated local artists into an art gallery and also have a converted cigarette machine selling tiny local art for $5.

Small but easy to get in and out and navigate. 7 total gates, one small security area. A few places to eat.

It's a small airport that is accessible in this state's capital city. There's on three airlines that come here to BTR. Those airlines are American Airlines, Delta, and United. You may or may not see an jumbo airplane. You will have to visit the airport in New Orleans to see bigger air planes.

This airport is not big, but it's functioning at it's full potentional for a regional air port. One thing to remember when flying in or out of BTR is to know which hub the airlines visit. For instance, one of United Hubs is in Houston. So, if you're flying west, you will have a layover in Houston for minutes to hours. I believe knowing your flight route is essential on having a great time flying. People enjoy flying from BTR.

TSA and the staff at PJs were super nice. I also enjoyed the art gallery. Overall great experience, but I did have one gripe: No toilet paper in the bathroom; I had to use one of those toilet seat paper things (not sure what it’s called). They even had a bathroom attendant just there chillin. Cool place tho 4/5 stars.

If you have never flown out of here, please pay attention. Unlike bigger airports where you must arrive 3-4 hours early, it will be a waste of time. Security is fast, this small airport getting here 1 1/2- 2 hours will be sufficient. I arrived at 250am, delta didn't open until 415am, security didn't open until 450am. Still sat at my gate for 45 min until boarding. Sleep in, don't rush.

This airport was great! The decorations made you feel immediately at home and gave you a Vibe of Louisiana. They were very helpful for me to find my rental car area and it literally took almost no time I was off the plane in my car and on the road in less than an hour. No problem leaving from here either they had everything organized. They were even a few small souvenir shops so I could get those last minute gifts to take home. I would definitely recommend this airport as one of the cleanest and best that I have been in. It is almost worth making a trip just to this airport to see some of the artwork that they have here

I really like the BR airport where even the extended parking is only a short walk to the airport. It's also an easy drive to get into and out of

The airport itself is never crowded. I can park, check a bag, pass through security, and be at my gate in less than 15 minutes.

Great place to fly in & out of. Easy access to rental cars. Small planes only fly into & out of BTR.

I fly a lot and like small airports better than large ones. BTR is one of my favorites. Parking, bag check, security, boarding - all are easy and the staff are friendly.

Is it the biggest airport you've ever been to? Nope. Are there lots of amenities? Not really. But, you'd have a hard time finding an airport with more friendly employees.

Our own personal experience today was the need to get a family member with mobility issues checked in and through security. A gentleman met us as soon as we walked through the door and asked how he could help. From that moment on, he took charge. Working with the ticket agents and through to security, it was so nice to have someone care.

You can't beat the convenience of having an airport with connections here in Baton Rouge. Nice to not have to drive to New Orleans for everything. And it turns out that most the time, you're not really going to save a whole lot of money by going to a different airport anyway. So why not take advantage of a hidden gem?

American staff and TSA agents are AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for helping my harried late crazy looking self get onto the plane today! At any point someone could have said flat out no, thankfully no one did they went above and beyond even allowing me to drag my big suitcase through and gate check it for me. Wonderful customer service from everyone I encountered. Thank you!

Smaller metropolitan airport with short TSA lines and clean waiting areas. The rocking chairs with a good view are an added bonus.

Best service at an airport I've ever experienced!! Even though I was late, they still got me checked in & went above and beyond to help me when I lost something before boarding. Thank you TSA staff and Mrs Denise I really appreciate you all !!

Smaller airport which makes for easier parking & less traffic headaches. Gift shop has a nice selection of local food & seasonal items to take back home. Most Charging port stations are stand alone & do not have seating.

I love our BTR airport. It's nice to have no wait & avoid walking the Jericho mile to get to your gate.
