Quaint airport, one terminal with 12 gates. Small eatery and gift shop. Easy to navigate and parking was a breeze. Early morning flights, not alot of tsa workers available. Not sure about the availability of alot of direct flights. Clean and in good repair. Definitely will be utilizing this airport when in the area.

HSV small International Airport. Consists of 1 terminal with about 12 gates with restrooms, shops, restaurants, and murals depicting aviation and space exploration scenes. Very clean airport & friendly employees. Getting through TSA was fairly quick. Overall process from arrival to the airport till I arrived at my gate, about 20 minutes total. Unfortunately, HSV doesn't offer many non-stop flight destinations.

Its surprising to me an airport would choose tile floors instead of smooth concrete or terrazo floors. Everywhere in the concourse, you hear a clatter of click-click-click-click or worse as people drag their rolling luggage across the grout lines of 12 inch square tiles. Otherwise, it is a very pleasant airport with polite staff, quick lines, and a clean and modern if small facility. I would note when I landed at 3pm every food business in the terminal was shutdown, but when I departed during morning hours several food options were available; but it does suggest one should bring their own snacks to be safe.

What a great little airport. Its big enough to have a variety of flights to many destinations but not so big that you have to plan extra hours travel time just to deal with the airport itself.
It's easy in and easy out. Overall the signs and directions are good except it needs more signs for how to loop back around the airport. We struggled the first few times.
This is now our go to place for travel whenever possible.

I challenge you to find a better airport. It's modern, nice, clean, has interesting features related to space and defense, and has the most efficient check-in process I've ever experienced. You can park 30 minutes before your flight leaves and almost always make it no problem. The signage is great and it's easy to navigate in/out of. Only 15 minutes to get to downtown Huntsville.

Beautiful "small city" airport. Very classy. Ease of checkin, security is top notch, don't have to pull a thing out of your bag. Only have to remove shoes, belt, and contents of pockets. Clean. Restrooms a bit dated in finish and appearance, but well kept and clean. Car rental was really ease, pickup and drop-off. Great airport! Great city!!

From rental drop off through TSA and onward to gate less than ten minutes. WTH??? Clean quiet and practically empty. Twilight Zone??? Best airport ever anywhere and this is the busiest air travel day in the USA. Coming or going Huntsville is a nice place.

This is the best airport in the country, security is a breeze... the counter personnel are extremely friendly... and the staff is so helpful. Probably because it's not a super high traffic airport, but for those of us who live in Huntsville you can get to the swamps of DC, the heights of Denver, and even the beaches of Tampa directly.
This means no arduous trips to Atlanta for a connecting flight.
This is my favorite airport in the world,
Oh and it's flanked by a golf course on one side and fields on the other. So the sunsets are otherworldly.

I've been to several other airports in the country and this one is the best.. it's hardly ever busy with too many people and it's so easy to navigate when you're there.. everything is really clean and the people are so nice.. if you get lost here then you need help.. much better than Chattanooga, Tennessee airport.. parking is a breeze and it's $2 an hour..

It has 12 gates total and three places to eat that serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee plus a souvenir and grab and go place. Security is usually pretty quick. They do have a TSA pre check line. It looks nice all decorated for Christmas!

One of the easiest drop off/pick up areas. I've been to a huge amount of airports and this design works. There is timed, free, parking directly across from the drop-off pick up area. You can easily see your guests as they step out of the building and your guests can easily see you. You are not blocking traffic and you have an arrival/departure display board in front of each parking spot. Leaving the parking slot is easy, just pull forward out of the slot onto an exit road, no trying to back up into traffic. Great design.

It’s never taken me more than 10 minutes to get through security here. Nice design, clearly laid out, quiet and fast. This last time flying, my grandmother used points to get my flight and listed my birth date wrong. I had to leave the security line and go back downstairs to the airline to get them to change it. At this point I was worried I’d miss my flight but they handled it so quickly I was at my gate in no time. The planes themselves are rather cramped, but that’s the way of things when flying out of tiny airports. I’m glad to have seen prices drop somewhat in recent years which makes flying out of Huntsville (rather than Nashville or Birmingham) actually doable. They have a nice couple of cafes too if you’re waiting. I’ve flown through Dulles and O’Hare a lot and this is a dream comparatively. There’s decent rates for daily parking too.

Haven't flown in several years. Didn't know what to expect following the recent events. I was pleasantly surprised to find everyone was so courteous and friendly. The airport is amazingly clean and comfortable. Got through check-in and TSA quickly. The staff scanner flagged my cargo shorts, so I got a lovely pat down, but even that was incredibly professional.

travel out HSV a lot would love to see it grow the recent updates are nice but the food areas are terrible shape but have great food and service. The tables are always nasty as are the floors but they are more worried about customers. Tailwinds needs some renovation and TSA PRE check needs a single line this is the only airport that i have been to that doesn’t.

Had a carry on bag but they said overhead was full and to leave bag at end of ramp and that it would be available as we exited ramp. It was not and we had to go to bagga claim at carousel 3. Other than that, all was good.

The parking garage elevators could use a cleaning, they are nasty. The gates could also use better speakers for announcements, barely can hear it at gate 8. Gate agents could use help with wheelchairs

We had such a great experience using Huntsville International Airport. The Delta agent was so sweet and the process was easy. Security had issues with the new screening machines but they did everything they could to keep things moving.
