The rooms were outdated to start. The shower was just unacceptable. The shower floor was dirty and rusted, the walls of the shower were stained I refused to step foot in there. The breakfast was not as I expected, there was no one manning the stations and just not enough variety (granted I got there at 9:10a and I may have just missed the good stuff). No complaints on the staff they were good. Best part of the stay was the shuttle service. The black guy, middle aged, wore a security shirt was amazing! Took the scenic route and gave us a mini tour of the Harbor.
One night getaway. Executive room with oversized jacuzzi and double showers. No pen or paper in the room to leave a thank you note for the maid.☹
Otherwise, the stay met our expectations and we will return. Staff is very friendly. Monday night is burger night. Delicious!
We stayed at this Best Western because it is a recommended hotel for Johns Hopkins patients. We did receive a Hospital discount. We stayed here 8 years ago for the same reason. The staff and the Hospitality of this hotel are still great. The Buffet Breakfast was as good as I remember. But the Hotel's furnishings have not been updated at all. And there is still a problem with loitering around the Hotel in the evenings and at night, and it is not always those who are smoking outside. Many people are allowed to party in the parking lot. The Hotel does clean up the Parking Lot overnight and tow any cars that are not Hotel guests.
The staff was very professional and made you feel welcomed, but only if the rooms were as welcoming as the staff...... The first issue I had was my room key, I had to swipe it 4 times to get in just about everything I had to get in the room, next there was black mold in the shower, the toilet didn't properly flush, so if you had to do #2, you were gonna be there for a while repeatedly flushing, the towels were old and half washed, coming apart and bed bugs, NOT GOOD!!!!!!! I told the staff about it the next morning and it was obvious I wasn't the only one having bed bug issues, because there was a sheet with other names on it asking for you name, room # and what the issue was and they all had bed bugs.... We were told somebody would call us, but it's been 6 days and I still haven't gotten a call..... Best Western has to do better, and good luck on finding parking.
The place is in need of some repairs. I'm my room the faucet had a steady leak and the finishing off the sink bowl was coming if in big pieces. Otherwise it was ok, but a bit shabby.
The parking is shared with a comedy club and on the Friday night I was there it was hard to find parking.
The place was saved from a lower score by the good breakfast. The eggs were quite good for powdered eggs, the coffee is a notch up from what I expect in a hotel, and they have both a pancake maker and two waffle makers.
The staff at the Best Western in Baltimore went out of their way with
picking us up at a Marine that is not One of their pickup's. The next day
they had a driver get us back to the Marina a hour before the shuttle started making drop offs and pickups. I also called prior to our stay and found the staff so accommodating. I am not easily impressed, however I must say I was pleassantly surprised. The breakfast was a full buffet which was nice over a continental breakfast. I will try to book with the Best Western for all future travel if it is a option.
For me this hotel was exactly what I needed. Everyone there was so helpful, not only to me, but I witnessed it with many guests. There were hidden benefits too that were not advertised on the website. I didn't it rate it higher because of a few issues, they didn't matter to me for the 2 nights I was there; but for your benefit 1 Out of date decor 2 No AC in parts of building (room was fine) 3 Building needs maintenance. The room was clean, the price was decent, free hot breakfast, and free 24 hour shuttle to the hospital made this hotel experience great for me!
Decided to do a staycation for fathers day weekend..we booked the Executive Jacuzzi suite. The suite was very spacious and on a quiet floor of the hotel. The amenities were decent( pool, restaurant, on-site comedy club and lounge for extra fee). Check in and check out was easy. I will say for over $300 per night the room needs some updating. The sofa was worn, decor was dated. The. Mirrored Jacuzzi (also had double showerheads) itself was nice but the tile/grout needs to be replaced..it was cracked in several places. Carpet needs to be cleaned as well as the ceiling (mold /water damage). Please make that a top priority since this is a top tier priced room. Our stay was still enjoyable over all. Just glad we didn't see any bugs.
The Best Western Hotel is more than a hotel. Best Western hotel entertain comedy shows with A-1 comedians, on Thursday thru Sunday. The Hotel also has a large nightclub, and a live band that plays on some nights. If your company needs a room for conferences or to hold classes, an event, or entertainment, the hotel has a large area that seats many individuals. Visit Best Western or give them a call, am sure they have something to offer you out of all their enterprises. I really enjoy the comedy shows for my entertainment.!!🤗❤👍
After staging a super load after a night move. Our crew chose this location as plan B. In my honest opinion it should of been plan F.
Waited a half hour to get checked in. The staff was friendly and professional. Security was visible but looked to unqualified. As I opened the door to my room a couple random bugs hanging out on the walls. The roach was a turn off but then this is Baltimore and it was super late. Never turned the TV on. Plenty of water pressure in the shower but the curtain seemed to small. No easy access to coffee in the morning. Breakfast buffet?
Pros: Easy to book, Location, Affordable Price, Parking is free.
Cons: Supposed to be smoke free hotel but just outside our door reeked of Marijuana. Undesirable ratchet guest next door to us, Basic Direct TV cable no premium channels. Buffet style breakfast not worth getting up for especially if your bacon lover. Key for door didn’t work second night of stay. Requested a blanket during the night but we never received it. Busy hotel due to comedy club on premises. Unfortunately, exposed to a lot of suspicious looking characters because of easy floor access. No key needed for elevator anyone can go to any of the floors. Pool questionable didn’t want to explore it after I saw what was getting in it. Air conditioning good but when turned the thermostat up for heat it was very dusty. Beds ok but I will not be staying here again.
I would not recommend this hotel at all the staff at the front Desk hardly knows what they are doing some of them don’t even speak English well. This was my fourth night well my fifth night because I got charged for an extra night and I had didn’t even stay there!!!! Besides that the front Dess always gives me issues when I try to extend my room even one the girl at the front Desk argued with me because of her fault she made a whole separate reservation instead of extending the reservation that I had and really tried to overcharge me I until in repeatedly asked to speak with the manager then she went on and fixed it it. Restaurant is good though I love the cream of crab & NY Strip entree
Rooms are spacious and clean. Restaurant has excellent food. A bit pricey but good sized portions.
Front desk is always professional, courteous and friendly.
I always stay there when I am in the Baltimore area
Took an impromptu weekend get away to Baltimore. Found this treasure while looking for a place to stay. This place was great! Complimentary breakfast was actually a meal! There was a comedy club connected to the lobby area and a bar with games.. The pool was warm, the staff was friendly. I'm going to do that again.
Stayed here 2 nights and all we heard was a lot of kids screaming and hollering. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. I hope our next visit is more quiet.
Baltimore Comedy Club is located inside the Best Western Hotel. This past Saturday was great! Gary Owen was in town and funny as ever. Hotel is nice and there's a Club on the side of the Hotel.
Courteous Staff “Christine” was top notch great service. Clean rooms with soft bed and hot showers. Plenty of truck parking. 👍🏼 Definitely be back
This hotel has a bad reputation in Baltimore as being a 'hood hotel. At one time it was definitely a party place, but they have worked hard to clean it up. For the price and location it's a good deal. Still has an upper class feel, even though the rooms have worn out amenities. The breakfast buffet included with the stay is decent too. If you're traveling on a budget, but want a luxury feel, stay here...the pic is from my 8th floor room. Got it on Booking, same day for a Sunday night, $87.00 total (tax included).
Diary of a PISCES
I haven't experience staying, was there for business. But I must say, it is very tidy customer service was amazing. An not hard to find at all. Would give 5 stars if I stayed but 4 is for my overall visit. Good job Best Western Hotel.
Nice hotel with affordable prices! The place was clean and the staff were nice! I stayed here with my children for New Year's Eve (just a quick getaway). The pool is also open, but you have to reserve it and families only get 1hr, which is better than nothing. The hottub and pool area are super clean as well. I will be staying here again.
The property was disappointing, the amenities were even more disappointing. At $200 nightly, what i experienced was a nightmare.
Beginning with a "struggled" greeting at the front desk, after checking in, I was told to go back into the cold to hang a parking tag in my car. Why they wouldn't just register the license plate, I don't know. Next, I arrive to a dark room that smelled of mildew, I thought it may have been because the room was "out of use", I don't know. After I searched for lighting switches and power buttons, I called the front desk about the lighting; they sent me a SECURITY GUARD to address. I was alarmed as I was alone and security persons do not address electrical issues. Anyway, he also did not understand why things were out, as we searched 5 minutes more... he noted things were unplugged and disabled (further supports my theory that this room was out of service) He couldn't figure out why the cable wasn't on and a few other lights, but I was too tired to search more. I thanked him and walked him out. As I locked the door, I saw paint on the curtain, broken shades, and stains on the carpet. Still too tired, I attempted to continue with my plan of rest and relaxation. I fill the jetted tub and realize the floor is wet, there is a leak somewhere along the tub. Again, too tired to address, I drain the tub, shower, and head to bed. 1. The bed sank in so far down that I had to grip the wall. 2. There was a strong scent of mildew blowing in the air. Again, too tired to address... I turn over and rest. The next morning... no manager. I get a motel valued breakfast, return to the room and attempt to resolve the leak issue so I could bathe (the sole purpose of my booking). Finally, I soak and relax... when I hear knocking. The phone rings... I get out and answer, it's the front desk mistakenly calling my room. Now I'm upset. I try to enjoy the soak, packed my bags and left. By the way... it was my birthday.
Still no call from a manager...
Room was clean and comfortable. Was there during the week so there weren't a lot of people. Check in and out was easy. My boyfriend and I had our own. Was a perfect get away!! Highly recommend it!!
Bill Bellamy show was the best. I didn't know that hotel could do all the things it did all in one night. The comedy show Tank fight and 2 Halloween parties all going with Convid 19 precautions in effect. Great work Best Western Plus and Staff
I don't like leaving bad reviews but this could have been a better stay if the rooms were better kept. I just did not trust the quality of the service and used my T-shirts as my pillow cases. The price was cheap but I guess you get what you pay for there.
Nice clean place. Lovely views of the city. Right off I95. McDonald's shares the parking lot. Buffet breakfast was decent. Pool was warm, and hot tub was 🔥. The staff had different information on how many people were allowed in the pool at a time. Some said 10 others said 15. The general bathroom on the first floor was kept very clean. All in all it was a great stay. I will go back and I do recommend staying here.
Place needs updates in rooms. No outlets for electronics in some rooms. Outlets are completely used or behind heavy furniture. Staff could not get breakfast hours correct. Front desk posted 6:30a- 10am. When arriving back from John Hopkins appt. in due time staff and security guard said they close at 9:30am. We didn't make a lot of noise about it because it's only food. Oh, and by the way icemaker do not work on all floors. I can say front desk staff is courteous.

Second time staying in this hotel. First time getting my own room. Beds were super soft and it's not a favorite of mine. I checked everything with a blacklight and the room was clean. Some kind of sediment in the bathroom sink and it would drain really slow. The bathtub stopper broke when I turned the water on for a shower. Everything else was clean. The restaurant wasn't open for service so they had these continental breakfast in boxes for people to take. See attachments.
The room was clean but the bed was not made properly (was lumpy with the sheets not smooth underneath) Also the shower head was separating this water flow was minimal. My visit to the restaurant was unfulfilling, the veggies I ordered was supposed to be steamed but they were still in the raw state. Send back to the kitchen but the cook had home.
Staff was very nice and helpful during my stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean and quiet!
Nice hotel but the breakfest was very disappointing just a apple a bottle of water and a Nutri bar
This hotel is over pricey and this is what they gave you as a complementary breakfast. I have stayed in less fancy hotels in this and it give you a good breakfast. Also the room has a very funny smell. The elevator when you use it is so scary that it makes you just take the stairs. This hotel definitely need a major upgrade never will stay here ever again.
Very clean, great service and cheap rates! My favorite hotel to stay when I visit Baltimore.
Wanted to do a quick getaway, this place was just what I needed. The staff was very friendly and professional. I would visit this place again.
I stay at this hotel quite often. For lodging in Baltimore, I stay here ~95% of the time. They have a special rate for Johns Hopkins Hospital of $95 per night (plus taxes) that hasn't increased in at least a decade. The restaurant is good, although those prices have increased regularly, but are less than most in hotel restaurants that I have been to. Their bartenders are always great, the main two have been there for years, Ivona for at least as long as I can remember, so 2008 or before.
They have an indoor pool and hot tub that are not huge, but nice especially when traveling with kids. Overall, I recommend this place
COPS comment on public servant
My niece at a graduation party very nice place I was surprised to find out it had a pool
I attended one of my dear friends memorial here and they were wonderful. Price was great and they were able to accommodate the family last minute.
The room wasn’t how I thought it would be ,, it was smelling like mold and it was moisture in the room. I saw a water bug in the hallway where they put me at . The bed wasn’t comfortable. The carpet was dirty .i won’t recommend staying their again. The people that I was next to was loud. The hallway floor was dirty with trash and food. I was disappointed never again. N they charging high for a nasty hotel . I need my refund back or something never again
Not the “BEST”. I stayed at this hotel last weekend with my family. Before I dig in let ma just say customer service was fine , the hostess/ waitress/ bartender was very pleasant. Now our room wasn’t the cleanest, the beds weren’t made to the standards that I’m use to when staying at hotels. The bathroom wasn’t thoroughly cleaned , there was hair in the tub and on the floor of the bathroom. We tried to enjoy the pool that was a NO GO , guests were given a designated time to use the pool but that wasn’t abide by all guests, and the pool wasn’t clean. It was cloudy and hair was floating in it , just disgusting. Needless to say I didn’t enjoy the pool. Let me just say I understand that some establishments aren’t back to being fully staffed but I do expect to be in a clean room, don’t assign rooms that haven’t been inspected by the supervisor of housekeeping. Please do better .
Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, and a fair price. Would certainly recommend.
It's got 4 walls and a bed what more can you ask ..pretty clean

Please know the intent of this post no to bash the hotel at all but to show the service quality. The front desk people were very nice.
The checking process was smooth. The agent was very friendly.
Sensitizer by the elevator was out. Good thing I have my own.
The rooms don’t smell cleanliness specially the second one. It smelled cigarettes although it is against the Hotel policy. The phone didn’t work in the first room, so I had to go to the Lubby twice. One for the towels and once for the TV and the phone being out.
It is outdated as you see from the pictures. After I settled in I took a shower but the towels had hair in both rooms the first one and the second one they switched me to.
I dislike to hint my voice on others but This hotel is at the bottom oh my list. Again keep in mind this is not toward the people in the hotel.
Chose the wrong check in date the hotel allowed me to pick a new date! Best part was the nice, warm, and clean indoor pool!
Be very very careful when dealing with this location. There was a discrepancy in my bill on check out. Charged an extra night. There excuse was "the computer doesn't lie". My answer to that, since I am a software engineer, was "a computer only repeats human input. I should have known something was wrong when there was another customer arguing about their bill a couple of days ago.
If I could go below 1 star, then I would. You don't play around with people's finances. Probably saw my car and considered for a mark and wouldn't care.
Friendly pleasant staff. Atmosphere Pleasant. Recommend this hotel especially if you don't want a huge crowd.
This hotel is a rare gem, very close to the downtown, within 10 minutes of pretty much everything in the Baltimore area. There's a station to even charge your electric car. You can get tickets to go to the aquarium etc. Breakfast is not bad, customer service is great, clean rooms.
This is one of the best park, stay and cruise hotels in the area. We have flown in and stayed here as well. They work with a transportation service called KD Elite who come as part of the park, stay and cruise package. Free breakfast, restaurant in the hotel, van service to several Baltimore areas in case you want to eat someplace else, warm or cool rooms depending on the season and friendly service. Can you tell I love this place?
The place is absolutely amazing. Only thing need more breakfast options. The best place to stay if you’re going to the comedy factory. The club is wonderful. Will be back very soon.
Stayed here while in town visiting family. The staff were very accommodating and polite. I was traveling in a larger group with kids. They were able to get us in adjoining rooms. The indoor heated pool is awesome! It felt so good after a long day. The rooms were renovated and looked good. The floors were very clean, I had plenty of room in the entry to roll my yoga mat out! We ate at the hotels restaurant one night- their crab cake was superb; huge chunks of meat. So delicious!
Came here to see benji brown at the Comedy Factory it was nice. The set up was nice and the food was pretty decent. The tickets were inexpensive. I had a great time. We will definitely return.
The problem (excessive noise and partying in the hall outside our door) that we experienced on 12/1/19 has been resolved. The vice president called us personally and explained their remedial actions. He gave us a full refund and asked that we use them again in the future. We do want to mention that the room we had was beautiful. We also had dinner at the hotel (buffet in the lounge/bar area) and found the meal very good. The front desk staff was professional, courteous and empathetic about the problems that we experienced during our stay. We will give the hotel a second chance.
Stayed here for three days. Excellent service and friendly staff. Good rooms & food. Hotel provides free pick and drop facility to its guests to selected key areas nearby. Don’t forget to give small tip for appreciation of the pick-n-drop driver.😊
This hotel is located very close to where I work and on those nights where I have to be back to work very early it's a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and well kept and the hotel staff is very accommodating. Thank you Best Western

I revised my review because the renovation was great. The comedians are top of the line funny! Food is tasty. Bathrooms are decent, but need upkeep throughout the show. Love the new bar, lounge/gaming area. The chocolate covered strawberry stand is a yum yum, too. Very nice, Baltimore Comedy Factory!
The front lobby and entrance is well kept and clean but the club on the same property does this place no justice. Drunks walking around the parking lot, lobby and in the hallways. My kids couldn’t sleep because of loud obnoxious people yelling in the hallways acting like no one else is around. I have spotted 4 BUGS that looked like baby cockroaches in my bathroom within an hour. I checked for bed bugs upon entering my room and to my surprise I saw none, thankfully. They do have a decent breakfast buffet though.
I stayed over a month at Best Western Plus Hotel in Baltimore. Every morning I took the shuttle to and from Johns Hopkins Hospital where I was receiving treatment. All the staff made everything possible to make my stay feel like home. I really appreciate their service and would gladly recommend it.
I attended a meeting there. The staff was a bit unorganized and it took the front desk over 20 minutes to figure out the room mu meeting was in after sending me around looking for a room in the wrong place. We had to purchase the buffet. The food was edible but not good. I would prefer not to buy the food. The meeting room was acceptable. Parking was good.
On business, at this location and I was amazed at how friendly the staff was, professional and respectful. I was pleased with the room, and the water pressure, bed was great! Quiet rooms. I recommend the little bar inside for a nice dinner! Staff keeps the included breakfast in the morning hot and stocked. Week day bar maid is very entertaining, and friendly, (I don’t have permission to use her name, so I didn’t.). They have a shuttle bus that rounds downtown, so you don’t have to pay to park! Just a really nice place, not priced to the moon.
Hotel was great. The perk of leaving our car parked at the hotel was awesome. Breakfast was tasty. The one area that did not give a full five stars is the shuttle service. The shuttles only ran at later hours than we wanted and only ran on an every hour increments to the port terminal. The first hour offered was 10 AM and full. The next options were 11 AM or 12 PM.
We did not use the shuttle service because of the lack of options and hired a private driver to accommodate our needs. This worked so great for us... we were dropped off at the front door of the port, and returning we were picked up right there as soon as we came out of the terminal at the port. They get my 5 star rating.
The second area that lost a star is the front desk clerk girl (to specify, it was the short girl with dark hair working the evening of 9/18/19) was so unfriendly and cold. I could not even make eye contact with her because she was so unpleasant. This girl should not be on the front desk with her wet mop personality.
