I would say you got what you paid for. Will not complain about the quality, since the price is not too bad. But there are few things I would like to say:

1. I did not see any bed bugs, but the room definitely smells, and the bed sheet and pillows looks very old, a bit yellow but not white.

2. The TV and the phone doesn’t work at all.

3. The place definitely need renovation, also I think it is only the family owner are managing it, clearly short of staff, and need more employee to handle the place.

But the location is very near to the KCI, which I find it good.

Hope it helps.

We have stayed here before and it was enjoyable as well as close to the things we wanted to do now my daughter is staying there because of things she wants to do.

I never write poor reviews, but I felt it was my duty to warn other road weary travelers to keep going to the next hotel. We had been on the road for 10hrs and it was about 8:30pm when we checked in. Had we had our wits about us, we should have went back down to the desk and ask for a refund and found another place, but we gutted it out. The lady that checked us in was nice, but obviously that doesn’t make up for the terrible musty smelling room and just overall dated place that just was creepy. We only paid $60 for this room, but by all rights, it is maybe a $25 a night room. Yuck.

This location is an old style summer motel from like the 70s. It is old and dated, yes. I have read other comments and reviews now that I have checked out and looks like I had a better time than others. It does seem to have some long term residents that are less than fancy. The ownership is elderly and will not give up much toward upgrades. Pool looks not well kept. The breakfast was sad. I took some coffee and some plastic sealed pastries. I believe it to be better than some places I have stayed and in the area I will stay again, but my wife wont if you know what I mean. It was a clean bed, and a decent shower. It a good base if you will be only to sleep. But that was my experience, as you can see others had much worse.
