Official Oregon Convention Center Parking

The OCC is placed at 777 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and is accessible via all modes of transport. The official Oregon Convention Center parking facility offers 800 car parking spaces and four electric vehicle charging stations—two on each level. The underground garage has a clearance of 7 feet on the P1 Level and 9 feet on the P2 Level. No parking is available for oversized vehicles—look into the nearby alternatives. The first Oregon Convention Center parking entrance is on NE Lloyd Boulevard (P1), but you can also enter the garage through the NE First Avenue (P2) entrance. See the OCC parking map below and then learn more about pricing.

Accessible Parking

Both levels of the Oregon Convention Center parking structure offer handicapped parking spots to guests with health conditions or impairments. Each visitor needs to own a disabled parking permit or license plate to use them. Standard parking rates apply.

Bicycle & Motorcycle Parking

Bicycle parking is free and available on both garage parking levels, as well as outside the main building entrances. The underground parking levels also provide motorcycle-only parking stalls, which are obtainable at regular parking prices.

How Much Is Parking at the Oregon Convention Center?

The first 15 minutes of parking at the OCC are free of charge, and then short-term parking rates apply. See the following list to discover the general OCC parking prices:

Duration Parking Rate
First 15 minutes Free
16 minutes to 1 hour $5
1 to 2 hours $7
2 to 3 hours $9
3 to 4 hours $10

Event Parking Prices

The visitor parking cost changes during larger events—a rate of $10 to $15 may be charged at parking garage entry. Busy event schedules affect traffic and parking availability, which is on a first-come, first-served basis. That’s why we suggest arriving early and allowing ample time to find a suitable spot, as well as checking out the cheaper lots near the OCC.

Parking Near the Oregon Convention Center

To assist you in booking the best deal and saving money, the Parking Access team looked into the city parking services in the neighborhood. We created a list of the top options to allow you to compare them and find what works for you in no time. The OCC cost is $10 for up to 4 hours—here’s how much you would pay for the same amount of time if you choose another parking lot:

Portland Parking Area Address Rate
Applebee’s Lot 1439 NE Halsey St. $3.00
Plaza 975 South Lot 975 SE Sandy Blvd. $5.00
Classique Floor Lot 835 E Burnside St. $5.50
Stark Street Building 125 SE Stark St. $6.00
Grid Property Management 115 SE 9th Ave.  $7.25

All the listed city parking lots are within walking distance but note that the walk will take 15 to 20 minutes.

Street Parking

On-street parking is a decent alternative to the official Oregon Convention Center parking service. Over 560 metered parking spots are available within three blocks of the building, so you’ll probably be able to find a suitable spot. Parking in the entire Lloyd District is $1 per hour Monday through Saturday and free on Sundays. Read the signs thoroughly before you leave your car to avoid receiving a Portland parking ticket.

Public Transportation—The Best Way To Save Money

If the cheap parking lots are full for the day of your visit, and you wish to cut your costs by avoiding on-site parking, we suggest public transit! TriMet MAX light rail stops at the building’s main entrance and connects visitors with the downtown area, surrounding neighborhoods, and Portland International Airport. You can take a TriMet bus line 6 as well—it stops at the MLK Lobby entrance. The adult TriMet fare is $2.50 and covers two and a half hours of rides. Alternatively, catch a Portland Streetcar that operates to and from the same stop as the buses. The city is also served by many taxi, shuttle, and ride-sharing providers, so feel free to use any of them to get to the OCC. If searching for a ride to or from PDX, check out the Portland Airport Shuttle guide.
