The Tacoma Dome hosts various exciting and interesting events and accommodates up to 21,000 people! If you plan to attend your favorite musician’s concert or any other event, don’t forget to come up with a smart parking plan in advance. Parking Access will help you do that and have a stress-free experience! See where to get a convenient Tacoma Dome parking spot and what are the alternatives to the official parking lots. Use our money-saving tips to enjoy the event without any hassle!
Tacoma Dome Parking Lots
Several car parking structures are located around the Tacoma Dome and offer convenient parking spots for arena visitors. The Tacoma Dome parking map below shows the numbered lots (A through K), their locations, and entrances. All the lots are within a quick walk of the venue. Event parking rates vary based on the occasion, and the price ranges from $10 to $30. The LeMay America’s Car Museum is right across the NW entrance; it has a standard parking rate of $5 for 3 hours and $10 for up to 6 hours.
Accessible Parking
All the Tacoma Dome parking lots are wheelchair-accessible, but Lots E and K are van-accessible and specially designed for guests with disabilities. Handicapped parking spaces are obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis. Any visitor who utilizes these spots must display a disabled parking permit, placard, or license plate. Standard parking rates apply.
Tacoma Dome RV Parking
All event parking areas can accommodate oversized vehicles, and every vehicle will be charged based on the number of spaces it occupies. Note that overnight parking is prohibited.
Parking Near the Tacoma Dome
The Tacoma Dome encourages people to use alternatives since parking is limited, so the Parking Access team looked into the nearby options. Unlike many U.S. arenas, Tacoma Dome is low on off-site parking areas, but we managed to find a few decent lots. The list below contains the most affordable parking structures placed a short walk away from the arena. The rates apply after 3 hours of parking.
Parking Facility | Rate | Address | Walking Distance |
Diamond Parking WN21 | $2.20 | 103 East 25th Street | 8 minutes |
Diamond Parking Garage | $2.20 | 2371 A Street | 10 minutes |
Sluggo Brewing Tap & Kitchen | $5.00 | 409 East 26th Street | 4 minutes |
Historic Freighthouse Square | $5.50 | 2530 East D Street | 4 minutes |
Tacoma Dome Station Park and Ride
The Tacoma Dome Station is a 5-minute walk away from the arena, and it provides the most popular Park & Ride parking services. The station offers free parking for over 2,000 vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis! However, this often results in overcrowding, and finding an available public parking area is tough. You have two solutions: either arrive very early or purchase a Tacoma Dome Station parking permit that will grant you access even during rush hours.
Downtown Parking
Finding a spot in a downtown parking structure or on a street is a budget-friendly alternative, too. Look for a city hotel or on-street parking space and then take the complimentary Tacoma Link Light Rail that stops at the Tacoma Dome. This is the simplest and quickest way of traveling across the city. Also, note that street parking in Tacoma is free after 6 PM, so you don’t need to worry about getting a ticket.
