Kauffman Stadium
Informally known as The K, Kauffman Stadium is a large baseball park in Kansas City, Missouri. It’s part of the Truman Sports Complex, situated around 7 miles away from the city center. The K is home to the MLB’s Kansas City Royals, and it hosts numerous exciting games and events throughout the year. The park can accommodate nearly 40,000 guests.
Visitors who plan on using ground transportation services like public transit have a very convenient option. The KCATA operates a bus rapid service in Kansas City, and the bus route 47-Broadway stops near the ballpark. The closest stop is on Blue Ridge Cutoff at 40th Terrace, which is a short walk away from The K. The bus fare is only $1.50. Alternatively, game fans can use taxi cabs or ridesharing apps, which are quite affordable, especially for small groups of people. Using any of these transportation options helps you save both money and time, and you won’t have to worry about finding a cheap parking space.
The Kauffman Stadium’s address is 1 Royal Way, and you can use this link for driving directions. Below listed are all daily parking services at and near The K, as well as parking prices and locations.
Kauffman Stadium Parking
Parking at Kauffman Stadium is the simplest choice, but you have to get to know the main parking areas and decide on which side you want to park on before coming to the stadium. So, plan your route for the smoothest experience! The K has several entrances and over a dozen official parking lots divided into three categories: General, Reserved, and Premium parking facilities. >>Reserve on Vivid Seats. Upon entering the complex, a parking attendant will direct you to the appropriate lot.
The standard parking rate in the general parking lots is $20, while reserved parking space is $30. Oversized vehicles (the ones that take up more than one space) are directed to Lot L or Lot N. If you wish to park in a reserved parking area, purchase a parking pass online. The premium lots are accessible from any gate and designated for season ticket holders only.
We suggest getting your Kauffman Stadium parking ticket in advance. You can do that online or by going to the stadium early in the day before the crowd arrives. If you choose the second option, go to the main box office at Gate C. It opens at 9 AM Monday through Friday or 10 AM on weekends.
Accessible Parking
ADA parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis in all Kauffman Stadium’s parking structures. Of course, you must display a disabled parking permit or license plate to use them. Additionally, wheelchair-accessible shuttles are available to transport guests to the gates if needed.
Searching for electric vehicle charging stations? Lot M, located between The K and Arrowhead Stadium, offers the closest EV charging station, which is maintained by the ChargePoint network.
Parking near Kauffman Stadium
Finding free parking near The K is practically impossible, and the official lots are the best choice. But you can come a couple of hours earlier and try to find available street parking spots in the area. If you look farther from the stadium, you might find a secure and cheap/free spot, but then you have to take a long walk to the park. Tailgating at Kauffman Stadium
The tailgating experience gives all the Royals fans a lot of fun and excitement, and it’s allowed in several areas: Lot N, Royal Way, and the Hall of Fame Village. The Hall of Fame Pavilion is right outside of Gate A and accommodates up to 500 guests, while the other two can take in up to 2,000 people. If you want to tailgate before a Royals game, note that your group can consist of up to 20 people. Groups of over 20 people have to make a reservation and place a deposit. Consumption of alcohol is allowed, too, but you have to throw all the beverages away before entering the stadium.
