There is no parking ban in Boston at the time of writing.
Boston imposes a ban on parking on major streets and roads during serious snow emergencies. During this period, many public parking garages offer discounted or free parking to city residents or visitors. When the city lifts the emergency ban, drivers have two hours to remove vehicles from the garages before standard fees start applying.
