Driving & Parking Information for the New York State Fair

Mark your calendars as the New York State Fair starts from August 24 – September 5, 2022. The New York State Fairgrounds is huge as it has the facility to accommodate more than 23,000 vehicles. There are 4 parking lots available at the fair, and they all cost $5 per day. The reservation for the parking is prepaid only, so the fairgoers must reserve and pay for the parking online.

Automobile Parking

Pink, Orange, Gray, and Brown parking lots provide parking for automobiles.

The Centro Park-N-Ride provides free shuttle services from the Orange Lot to the fair’s main gate.

Motorcycle Parking

The Motorcycle parking is available in Pink Lot for only $5 per day. This lot also offers accessible parking.

Buses, RV, Campers, and Motor Coaches Parking

All the buses, RVs, and coaches are to park in a designated area in the Orange Lot.

Bicycle Parking

There are many bicycle racks available at the New York State Fair’s gates 1, 3, and 10.

Public Transit Services

Apart from the shuttle services, The New York State Fair provides its customers the facility to travel directly to the fair in a more convenient way via the Amtrak Train Service and Trailways of New York.

Directions

The New York State Fairgrounds is immediately adjacent to Route 690 just West of Syracuse. It is easily accessible from the New York State Thruway (Rt. 90) from the West and East, and from Route 81, North and South. Just follow the signs to the Fairgrounds once you enter the Syracuse area.

From the West – Buffalo / Rochester Area
Take the New York State Thruway (Rt. 90 East) to Exit 39, then follow Rt. 690 East.

From the East – Albany / Utica Area
Take the New York State Thruway (Rt. 90 West) to Exit 34A, follow Rt. 481 South, then follow Rt. 690 West.

From the North – Watertown Area
Take Interstate 81 South into Syracuse to Exit 22. Follow Bear Street (Rt. 298) to Rt. 690 West.

From the South – Binghamton / Cortland Area
Take Interstate 81 North into Syracuse, then follow Rt. 690 West.

From the New York City / Downstate Area
Take the best route to Binghamton, N.Y. Then take Interstate 81 North Syracuse, then follow Rt. 690 West.
