Brooklyn Cruise Parking includes a shuttle bus between the parking lot and any of the cruise terminals
ParkingAccess.com will provide you with all the necessary parking information regarding parking facilities at or near the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, as well as many other cruise ports. If your cruise vacation starts in Brooklyn, keep reading our NY cruise terminal parking guide to find a discounted parking area, and make a reservation in advance.
The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is one of the three major New York cruise terminals, and it is situated in Brooklyn’s neighborhood of the Red Hook. The closest airport is LaGuardia Airport, located about 12 miles away, but John F. Kennedy International Airport (JKF) and Newark International Airport are less than 20 miles from the port. So, all airport passengers can easily and quickly access the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal via bus tours, AirTrain, taxis, etc.
Two major cruise lines operate in Brooklyn: Cunard Line and Princess Cruise Line. The other NY cruise terminal in Manhattan is the home port of the other cruise lines, such as Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, Crystal Cruises, etc. Cape Liberty is the base for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
Brooklyn Cruise Terminal Parking
If you’re using a phone mapping app or GPS device to reach the cruise port, type in the following address: 72 Bowne St, Brooklyn, NJ 11231.
The official on-site parking structure at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is on the south side of the terminal entrance, and it is so close that you don’t need shuttle buses or transportation to the terminal. The lot can be used for both short-term and long-term parking.
This parking lot is not only the most convenient parking facility but also the cheapest one in the area, which is usually not the case at other ports. So, this means that your vehicle will stay in a safe parking spot so close to your cruise ship that you will easily reach it when your trip ends. There’s no waiting for shuttles, driving around the Big Apple, or walking for miles – you can start and end your trip stress-free if you park at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal Parking.
The parking rates are as follows:
- short-term parking rate – $20 for up to 4 hours;
- overnight parking rate – $25 per day.
Reservations are not required, and you can pay in cash or by major credit cards. Unfortunately, the port doesn’t accept Brooklyn Cruise parking discounts and coupons.
Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All passengers using these designated handicapped parking spots have to own a disabled parking permit. Standard parking rates apply.
Oversized vehicles can use this surface car park, too – parking spaces for RVs, buses, and other larger vehicles are situated near the Security Main gate.
Returning to your Brooklyn Cruise Parking Lot
The first important thing to remember is to keep your tickets with you during the cruise. When your cruise ships return, take the ticket to any blue pay station – these machines are situated inside the terminal exit and at the pedestrian entrance. In order to access the parking lot, you have to show guard both cruise and parking tickets. Then, after you pay the parking fees, you can exit the parking structure and head home.
Park Snooze and Cruise Deals
Hotel parking is a great alternative to the on-site parking lot. Therefore, if you plan on driving into the city a day before your cruise trip, check out the hotels near the terminal that we discovered. They offer a discounted or free parking space for each hotel guest and sometimes free shuttle service or a free breakfast buffet.
Only a few New York hotels provide Park Snooze and Cruise packages for an extended stay. Hotels like Sheraton, Best Western Plus, and Fairfield Inn Suites don’t have Park & Cruise hotel offers. We’ve listed the best hotels in Brooklyn that offer these deals:
- Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Park Slope Hotel provides free parking for up to 5 days;
- Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge Brooklyn Hotel Park & Cruise is $40 per night;
- Holiday Inn Nevins Station Brooklyn offers valet parking for $35 per night;
- Holiday Inn Express New York Brooklyn provides a daily parking rate of $35.
This parking option allows you to get a good night’s rest before the embarkation and do some sightseeing. So, you could check out New York City attractions, such as Brooklyn Heights Promenade, New York Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building in Midtown Manhattan, the Manhattan Bridge, Chinatown, etc.
Feel free to check us out for your next beach cruise vacation! Apart from downtown Brooklyn Cruise Parking, we can help you find a nice New York hotel and airport parking areas all around the world. ParkingAccess.com offers a safe booking system that will allow you to make a reservation in no time!
