It's nice being so close to the metro, but on days when it is bad out, I wish that it were connected to the underground CC "mall." Rooms are average. I had been upgraded to the relaxation suite once, which was amazing until I tried to take a bath and the hot water handle fell off. Haha. No relaxing in THAT suite. Hopefully it is fixed by now.
This hotel is located a few minutes from DCA airport and offers free shuttle every 30 minutes at 15 and 45 from the off site shuttle pickup area. Super friendly staff. Not great noise isolation. 24/7 gym access. Lavender balm by your bed. No liquid body wash; only bar soap. Coffee machine. Clean. Great shower pressure. The room design feels old. Practical well-located hotel because it is super close to DCA and not far from the capitol.
Super convenient hotel, downtown Crystal City, right next to DC Metro and Virginia mass transit, and underground mall associated with them. (Used to be a big deal, not so much anymore). A nice place if you can afford it.
My wife and I checked in late - at around midnight and we were assigned to a room with a king bed. Room's AC was broken and after almost an hour of trying all kinds of things (turning it off/on, messing with the settings, etc), we called reception who suggested we turned it off and waited for a while. A room got to 85F, so we called again to change rooms. The only room available in the entire hotel was a (less comfortable) double room with two smaller beds - in effect, we got downgraded as we paid to secure a king bed. Took us hours to get settled and freshened up, so we ended up effectively resting in our hotel for less than 6hours (having paid the full rate of course).
The one highlight were the ladies at the main desk - they were nice and understanding. However, this situation is unacceptable for a 4+ star hotel by DC. Would not recommend
Nice location. Near the airport and metro station. Food options are in walking distance. WiFi is good and reliable. Room was well kept.
Great stay and experience. The proximity to the metro makes it a great place to stay and the value for the dollar was great! The rooms were comfortable and clean, only downside was the nosiness of the city itself. I'll stay again.
This is one of the best place to stay in Crystal City Washington DC area. Here are a few reasons why Krista city area has about 30 different eateries in walking range of many Restaurants is located by the question city metro the staff is wonderful the hotel is beautiful and if he become a member he had perks.
If want to find another 0lace where you could find the mostly friendlier people, you couldn't find.
The service was great... Smile and good omen all around.
The food... Oh, my heavens. I had the Tuna... Please have it. It's the most delicious I have
Hotel is alright. Parking is $39 per night and $15 for a shot of vodka is not good. Not a 4 star hotel room but if you can get a good price it's not a bad stay.
Perfect location, really convenient to shopping, restaurants and the city! The one opportunity is for better room temperature control. It was so hot in our room and no matter how low we adjusted the thermostat, there was no relief.
Beds are comfy.
If you have status, they will give you free breakfast, although the breakfast is very boring (oatmeal was liquid, no Greek yogurt).
Staff is friendly and attentive.
Location is right by another Marriott (I guess they merged or got bought out by Marriott).
Crystal city metro is steps away, very convenient.
Photos as of nov 2019.
A convenient hotel to stay for federal government events many of which are held close by. The proximity to Reagan National Airport makes this easy to get to. Apart from that don't expect anything to stand out. This is your typical brand name impersonal hotel that you will not remember in a week.
Staff super nice, especially to our young, wild children. Good bedding and pillows. Nice shower.
Affordable but old and worn. Carpeting needs replacing and signs of mold in shower door slide and tile. Friendly and accommodating. Convenient short commute to both Harbor and Washington DC.
Nice hotel and great customer service at front desk. Ice maker on my floor not working which was a bummer and inconvenient. Room service was horrible. Showed up very late, very expensive fees, and threw the food out as it tasted so bad. I ordered crab cake with risotto and calamari appetizer. Crab cakes were badly burnt and calamari rubbery and looked like the opened a frozen bag and reheated. Horrible and the $26 delivery / service fees was ridiculous! Never seen it that high before and I travel a lot. Would stay at the hotel, but do not order food!
Nice hotel. Friendly staff, rooms were nicely furnished. Walking distance to good restaurants and a whole foods. Their workout area was a little weird, looks like they made a conference room into an exercise room. Perhaps the workout space is getting renovated?
I chose this hotel based on the proximity to Washington DC and the cost. The staff was amazing and very helpful and friendly. They assisted us and made my second visit to DC so enjoyable. The bed was comfortable, I felt safe in the hotel and in the parking garage. The only issue we had was trying to get our ticket for the parking garage as the machine was out of tickets. I went inside and let them know and they sent someone to rectify the issue immediately. Next time we go to DC I am definitely booking here and will tell everyone in our group to book here as well.
Absolutely kindest and most attentive staff that I've been around in a long time from check in to check out. In the elevator we talked about wanting smoothies and next thing you know the we are being served smoothies while waiting to check out. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and Westin Standards. Lobby, restaurant, and Fitness Center are the same. Great location near Reagan airport and minutes from everything in DC. Highly recommend!
Love this hotel! Classy and very clean. Entire staff is courteous, friendly, interested in your needs and seeing that your happy. Within walking distance of all the downtown restaurants, plus has a restaurant of it's own. Great bar to hang out at. Would stay here again anytime I'm in the DC area. Bikers also welcomed. Only down side is that the garage parking is expensive, but all hotels in the area are the same.
