Had a couple of issues had to Request my shower to be fixed 4x!! Once the head of engineering Found out he fixes it right away himself!! Clean nice and quiet I'll stay again!!
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. That's the end of our positive experience. Front desk attendant at check in was rude and not helpful at all. No cookie, and not even mentioned and no breakfast, of any kind offered. Not even a paid option. They did have pump coffee for $2.00, plus tax. We choose Hilton brand properties for a certain level of quality, and this was lacking.
I didn't stay. Evacuees were coming in. But I had to go to another hotel. I got stranded
because of Hurricane. Joshua the manager saw how distressed I was and bought me a meal and drink while I waited for the shuttle. The bartender also was very helpful. God bless you both.
A pretty good hotel with a Starbucks and on-site restaurant/bar. No free breakfast. I was disappointed by the amount of space in the bathroom which was fairly small given the size of the room. It was so small that shower steam would fog the mirrors located outside of the bathroom.
The weirdest thing was they have cards in the room saying to hang towels if you don't want them laundered and I did so, but the only towel hooks were on the back of the tiny bathroom door. Even though I hung my towels the next day I would exit the shower to find that towel had been taken and I would have to exit the bathroom dripping wet to get a new towel. I guess I should have learned by the second day but it was only a 3 day stay.
Nice hotel but getting a bit dated. One room for one of our folks smelled terribly musty and we had to move him but it's more likely due to no consistent use during these terrible times. Otherwise great staff and decent stay.
Not very warm shower. Mold in bathroom. Old and run down. Not exactly clean either.Was nice at one time, a long time ago. The staff was excellent however.
Horrible customer service. My family and I used their Global Parking option. And when we arrived at the airport we called their shuttle service. And they kept us on hold for at least an hour. We even called the front desk, but they were no help! Very disappointed with this service! I will not use them again.
After coming in at 12:45 am I accidentally put my phone in my pocket with my key card so I had to get it redid. Since I was down there I decided to get a few snacks. After charging them to my room. I walked towards the elevator passing another employee. When she seen me walking by with snacks she asked me if I had paid for them. I looked at her because I was offended. Then she rushed around the corner to verify with the other employee "Did he pay for those " She asked him. ( As is walking with sncks while black is a Crime). I am a University of Texas at Austin Grade. I have two degrees. I earn 6 figures a year and I am still treated sometimes like I am less than and assumed to have committed a crime. Who stays in $100 a night hotels to steal skittles and a almond joy after midnight with cameras in every direction. And the look just like what you get from a convince store so how did she know they were not purchase elsewhere. Ijs. I have never been so offended and the employee (She) should be fired or send back to training in hospitality.
I booked my room understanding that the hotel can't be booked to compacity due to covid19 so there were minimal people here, we got out rook for the weekend just to find out house keeping was on minimal hours so rooms can't get cleaned everyday but still serve breakfast to go complimentary. Well I go down to get a breakfast and was told there was no more breakfast at 730. How can you run out of breakfast if there are minimal amount of people here
It looks nice, the customer service is good but don't stay here. The workout room smells of mold. I stayed in room 711 and called the manager about the water. The water is not hot and luke warm. He said the state. This is not the first hotel I have stayed at in Dallas. I felt really dirty and wished I would have just switch to another hotel because I wanted to use the hot water out of the coffee pot. I wanted to get a thermometer but with the virus going around they were all sold out.
So grateful a room was available last night ! Thank you Kaitlyn for wonderful customer service , beautiful room , awesome breakfast .. lovely staff ! Will definitely return ♡♡♡
Highly disappointed with the restaurant. I was studying, as I ate then tried to order a beer and was asked to leave the bar because I was studying. I don’t understand why studying was an issue but won’t be back. Also haven’t had a single good night sleep as the walls are paper thin.
Staff was great, the shuttle driver was very professional and welcoming. We parked our car here for a week, the pay and stay is great compared to the prices of other hotels. Rooms were clean and the bed is very comfortable. If I'm ever in the area we will stay here again!
We did not stay here but we did attend a meeting here. The staff was very friendly. The lunch was delicious. We had our kids along with us & the staff was more than willing to answer questions or go get the answer to our question about whether or not the food contained a certain allergen 1 of our kids could react to. They even brought a highchair in to the meeting room for 1 of them to eat. The staff came around quite frequently to retrieve empty plates and they were very prompt at replacing any food items that were empty or nearly empty. We have had meetings at several hotels and this place by far has been the best place. They are very easy to get to right off the expressway as well.
Beautiful room! Not a fan of the extra charge on WiFi you can use to stream videos. But overall the experience was good and I'd stay here again
Have fun if you have a room next to the "fitness" area. Hear every step of someone running. Wake up to sounds of people throwing the weights on the floor.
Firstly, this isn't a BAD review. I just have a higher expectation of DoubleTree hotels in general. The lobby is not a terribly welcoming space and the rooms are just average. The service is good. The gym is very small and limited for a hotel of this size.
Staff is courteous and were checking with me by text messages. Hotel is old and need upgrades. Executive lounge is good though it is small with on the house beverages. Nearby airport and makes it convenient for business related travel around COPPELL and Irving. Restaurant staff super nice and good breakfast.
Positive welcome experience. We had a problem with our room because it smelled like marijuana (I know this is no fault of the hotel), so they tried to eliminate the odor but when they were unsuccessful they moved us to another room. Otherwise a clean room. We ordered room service and were happy overall although we did receive sweet potatoes fries instead of regular fries. The service was very fast. I think it took 15 minutes.
Clean well appointed rooms, caring and friendly staff, and wonderful hosts for our conference. Shuttle service was a tremendous blessing. Would definitely return for another stay.
Surrounded by inns and motels, the Double Tree or the Sheraton are the only options for a higher end hotel near the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. The hotel is an older hotel that has been remodeled to match the Double Tree especially the free chocolate chip cookies. There is also a champagne hour in the afternoon as well as a Hilton Honors room that serves light hors d'oeuvres and complimentary beer and wine.
The rooms are clean and spacious. The rooms boast a small fridge and microwave for extended stays. Keep in mind the airport is close so there is some light airplane noise.
The pool is large but not heated. The fitness room is small but has has light free weights and multiple treadmills.
The restaurant is moderately priced. The biscuits and gravy are not up to par for being in Texas but the tacos were.
If you want to escape, Denny’s is the only option within walking distance. There are many Place’s however within the shuttle boundary of three miles. The shuttle is also complimentary for airport pickup and drop off. There are two and they run fairly at about every 15 minutes.
Very friendly staff. An older hotel with some areas that could use updating. Very clean and well-kept. Nice breakfast buffet. Executive lounge is very nice.it spans the top two floors with a view of the pool and the airfield. Limitation is it is only open from 6 a.m. until 8pm. Room was nice but nothing fancy. It was wonderful to be welcomed to a nice cold room. Only wish the air conditioning would knock down the humidity as well. The airport shuttle was great when I arrived at 9 pm. It shares a shuttle with the Sheraton and they have at least a half-a-dozen vans constantly running. I would absolutely stay here again.
Very friendly welcome, warm tasty cookie on arrival which is great. Smaller room, maybe not a gorgeous room but functional and efficient. Of course we weren't looking for a nice and elegant, so it worked for us. A/C was working great, comes with fridge and microwave was good especially we stayed for 3 nights and needed a fridge to keep our groceries in there to warm up food. They don't serve breakfast but they do have onsite restaurant and Starbucks. Overall we liked this place.
I wont go into the mold smell and the need for this hotel to be updated, but i was very surprised at the rudeness and dishonesty of the front desk staff. I was booked for 3 nights and they tried to give me a handicap room which does not work for me given im 6.4 and everything is super low. I asked for another room and they said they were sold out so i used the diamond member plea which i rarely do and he said whats that suppose to mean. So i told him to change the stay to one night and i left in the morning for another hotel. I found out that night from the bartender that they weren't even close to capacity and i tended to believe him given there were only 3 other people there besides me.
Oh, and when i did get to the room, the toilet wasn't flushed. Luckily it was 'liquid only' but still. How Gross is that.
Dallas has way too many hotels to put up with that and the one i checked in the next night was wonderful and i will given them a glowing review. This one is just bad. I recommend you choose from one of the many other area hotels and stay clear of this one.
This hotel has done a great job of putting forth the effort to take care of it's travelers and make them feel comfortable. While I will say there are a few instances where a bit more training would do them well, around interacting with customers and hotel policy, it's not enough to cost them a star. It's apparent to me that they care about their customers and that speaks wonders.
The restaurant is good, and more importantly consistent with decent staples and room service that is fairly quick and always courteous. Rooms are well cleaned and comfortable. I've stayed here twice and should I be in the area I would use this hotel again.
Horrible place! They will charge your card for incidentals which is fine you will be reimbursed for that if you don’t use it. BUT then if you booked through a 3rd and PAID through that 3rd party, when you check out the card you used for incidentals they will charge you the room rate of your stay even though you paid through a 3rd party. Called to get this refunded and they told me they had no charge on their end so couldn’t refund my money. REFUSED to take my bank statements showing where they charged my account as proof. This is theft! To take money you were not authorized to take. The amount they charged me was for a room rate which was more than the incidentals. And to top it off their shower temp fluctuated during shower from freezing cold to scolding hot. DO NOT STAY HERE!
